The event, an initiative of Power Media Group and Florentine Gardens, collected $6,000 and 45 Tons of supplies for the citizens of Peru, devastated by an 8.0 earthquake.

To the rhythm of the best music and company of hundred of Angelinos the benefits concert took place on August 26, 2007 in Florentine Gardens of Hollywood. the night club, property of Peruvian businessman Kenneth MacKenzie, hosted a memorable day of solidarity toward the Peruvian Citizens that survived the damaging earthquake. the venue recieved an array of artists thar wanted to dedicate their voice, their music and their art to help the victims of this tragedy. famous Peruvians entertainer Santiago Silva, traveled from Miami exlusively to participate in the event. popular groups such as chimpun Callao, Santino, and the Mexican group Bravada and Jimmy Santi where among other artists that lend their talent. Power Media Group Wants to pay special recognition to Gino Gamboa, a talented musician who took on the task of being the artist coordinator for the event.

On the dance floor Ecuadorian, Colombian and Chilean Dancers delighted audiences with their folkloric dances. the highlight of the event showcased all the regional Peruvian dances, from Lima's passionate Marinera, Afro-Peruvian Festejo to festive Andean Huaylas.

During Festejo, two young volunteers started dancing to the rhythmical sounds of the drums, "These two girls, couldn't resist the music" said Patricia Gracia, "They were shaking and grooving, the only thing I could think of is how those P.M.G. volunteer shirts had never had that much action"

The event attracted approximately a thousand people, among attendees, organizers, artists and volunteers. Fifty percent of the food sales revenue was donated by the restaurant "El Salto del Friar" property of the restaurateur Jose Palacios. the complementary food for the artists was courtesy of caterer Josua Brow, Outside of the Venue, hundreds and hundreds of good Samaritans stopped through out the day to contribute all kinds of aid: cash, food, clothes, cots, medicines, sanitary material and toys. The Consulate of Peru-Los Angeles chapter received the six-thousand dollar check at a public press event the next day.

During the speech, the general council member of Peru in Los Angeles, Alberto Massa Murazzi, emphasized that "The Los Angeles Peruvian community is one that is extremely organized and is giving a magisteriallesson of solidarity". Indeed the peruvian community became mobilized for the cause, but they were not the only nations represented.

The event attracted mass media such as Univision, ABC 7, NBC-Telemundo, KWHY Channel 22, Channel 27, Channel 62 KRCA, La opinion y Tijuana Press. Patricia Gracia, president of the advertisement Agency Power Media Group, Inc. organizer the event, affirmed that "the conclusion of all of this is that solidarity transfers borders, races, cultures." In turn, Kenneth MacKenzie, stated that the contribution of the consulate has been encouraging, and thanked the participation of the artists and the volunteers, the mass media and businesses that have contributed its little grain of sand, as was the case of Reni Latio, that provided the system and personnel of sound. Also it recognized the impeccable work of Antonio Sanches, responsible for the Commitee of Distric attorney's Office for the event.
